Ten African University College of Communications (AUCC), Level 300 students of the journalism class are set to benefit from a Media Capacity Enhancement Programme (MCEP) under a Ministry of Information initiative. The Ministry of Information announced this at the launch of the Media Capacity Enhancement programme in Adabraka on Sunday, November 14, 2021.
Deputy information Minister Fatima Abubakr who Led a press briefing to launch the program said the programme is in line with one of the key strategic objectives to assist in the development or transform the media landscape.
She said the programme is expected to provide continuous in-service training for media personnel drawn from across the country in order to improve their skills for the industry.
Present at the launch was the president of the Ghana Journalists Association, Affail Monney who said the Programme could not have come at a better time than this. He encouraged the students to take advantage of it and gain the necessary skills in Journalism and media practice.
Students thanked the Ministry for their gesture.
